i had a ton of fun in thailand really! talk abt retail therapy =) shoppin a chatuchak weekend market and suan lum night market were pure bliss... being able to bargain! and slash prices by half... the way the ppl are so nice as they queue up neatly in straight lines during peak hour, give up their seats for kids, old folks or just plain tired people... amazin really.. its uber modern, contrary to popular belief, and drinks are dirt cheap *yay

spent $550 or so there, bought 5 pairs of shoes, a pair of diesel jeans and a skirt, 3 A &F tops, 1 AE top, numerous locally designed tubes, boleroes etc.. a lovely roxy wallet!! which i shall post pics of soon and a great CD imitation wallet... covered with flowers... *dreams it was fun exploring on our own, gettin lost in the mrts and all and askin cute boxer types for directions ;)

anyway quote of the week, on hearing that some guy gave up a seat for my mum on the mrt so she cld sit with me, my brother promptly quipped " so are you pregnant, old or disabled?" the look was priceless =p

the food was heavenly, and olive rice must not be authentic thai food cuz there's no where in thailand i could eat it. oh swensen's there is heavenly, for 59 baht (i.e. $2.50- 3) you can have a mango tower which consists of mango ice cream and green rice and peanuts.. a novel yet utterly delicious creation. kudos to thai creativity in food!

alright anyway after recovering from my daily marathons as i shop, i finally met up with vick yest and passed him his tequila. lol ive posted a pic of the stuff dreams are made of.. here's to... absinthe =p

lifes been a big rush once again! =) with havin to wrap up all my work in bartley with students and all... check out the pics alright! haha they cant even stand still to take one... =p off to bangkok tmr after managin to somehow get one-for-one tix yest! yay!! this is wonderful really.. four days and three nights of pure shoppin heaven plus DFS!! here i come.. somehow i think this is gna make me entirely bankrupt.. but for the love of shoppin and fashion, ive no regrets.... *swoons

anyway anyone who wants anything for bangkok better msg me asap , or even DFS. met up with serene and xiu yest for thai express! had the yummiest olive rice but the most awfully saccharine sweet apple tart at bakers' in.. but i had a ton of fun! we shld do this again soon and not wait till its time to send ppl off at the airport... lol..

anyway chyi uei, sharon and jan! im endin work soon! time for sentosa trip alright =) gimme a few weeks to tone up and turn into an utter babe =p

wow time really has flown alright. well a quick recap, i now have two female german shepherds livin at my place, 2.5 months each, lovingly named lola and nikki! =) they're beautiful really
the last day of teachin is over at last.. woo hoo... but i guess i'll miss em with their blatant flattery, false as it may be, and fights and strange 59er sense of logic...and it'll be invigilation from now on and je serai au chomage in no time. been tryin to catch up on french to take DELF 2 but it seems like a futile attempt so mayb i shld juz save the seventy bucks... met up w loads of people lately and realised that talking and catchin up can be more fun than imagined

but i guess the thing that's been ringin in my mind is this simple statement ive been hearing and seeing everywhere

"you were born for a time like this"

i know there must be a reason im here on earth at this present age but the reason why still eludes me. maybe it is time we all take a step back and think about why we've been put on this earth, not just the reason we exist collectively as human beings but the reason specific to the individual. i guess we're all here not just to learn something but to teach something as well.
